How far in advance do I need to reserve my date?
Advance times vary by event and season. Wedding receptions typically book 4-12 months in advance. We highly recommend reserving your date as soon as it is confirmed. Once reserved you will have 5 business days before your event date to confirm the actual attendees. Summer weekends and all dates in December fill very quickly, so please plan ahead!

How much does your server cost?
Our staffs are available at the rate of $25 per hour with a minimum of 4 hours. Our staffs will start thirty minutes prior to your serving time. In the event they are needed for more than the scheduled 4 hours, our staff will notify you to make arrangements, or vice versa.

How many staff will be at my event?
Several factors determines the number of staff needed, including the menu, the number of guests and choice of china or disposable products. When we prepare your proposal, estimated hours and costs for staff will be included.

How will I know what my total event cost will be?
After meeting with one of our professional event planners and discussing your needs for the event, we will prepare an itemized estimate. You will clearly see each separate line item for food, staff, rental equipment, china, and linens. Staffs cost may vary depending on the length of time needed for their service.

Can you take care of china, glassware, linens & centerpieces for me?
Absolutely! We own all of our own equipment and offer a full color range of linens as well! We also work with a specialty linen company for very special occasions. Ask your event coordinator to see our sample fabrics. Once you make your choices, we will order and arrange for delivery of rental items. We also coordinate the set up the day of your event.

How about tents, tables and chairs?
A full range of styles and sizes are available from our rental vendors. Usually we have the rental company tent person come to your location to measure for tent needs. It is a joint effort between the: Customer, Caterers & Rental Coordinator.

Do you require a contract?
Yes. After reviewing all details, you will need to sign off on the back page and get that back to us with your deposit if required.

Do you charge a gratuity on your bill?
We at Sarkis Caterers see tipping as a social custom & not a requirement (no set rules!) It is a personal decision and expression of satisfaction for outstanding service. Therefore, we do not put gratuities on our invoices unless directed to do so by the client. However, if you would like a guideline for tipping, a gratuity of $20-$50.00 per staff member or a percentage of the total is customary.
